Blow Holds is founded by Fré Leys, a paraclimber on the Belgian climbing team.
We are driven by a clear and simple mission: At Blow Holds we create fully recyclable climbing holds and make them the best option for climbing gyms.
To fulfill our mission, we provide climbing holds that are not only fully recyclable but also durable and competitively priced.
Thermoformed
Climbing has a huge plastic problem. Almost all holds in climbing gyms are made from PU, PE, or fiberglass composite. However, none of these materials is recyclable. Ultimately, they end up in incinerators, landfills, or the sea. This clashes greatly with what is central in the climbing community: a love for nature.
Therefore, Blow has developed a revolutionary new production process. We not only use much less plastic by making the climbing holds hollow, but we also make them from transparent PET, which is fully recyclable.
Innovative Texture
We have engineered a unique, sustainable texture directly into the material of our climbing holds. This innovative texture is better wear-resistant, significantly prolonging the lifespan of each hold.
Additionally, it eliminates the need for a thick layer of paint-sand mixture, streamlining the recycling process.
Furthermore our texture is transparent, which allows us to paint our climbing holds from the inside.

Inside-Out
Thanks to our innovative transparent texture, we can paint our climbing holds from the inside. We call this Inside-Out Paint technology. It's obvious that this layer of paint is climbing proof, meaning it can't wear down from climbing.
Furthermore this allows us to use a very thin layer of paint, which is relatively easy to remove, which in turn facilitates the recycling process.
